Mrs. Elliott's Montessori Classroom

 The students started their morning with a presentation of their dances.  They all did a wonderful job!  In the afternoon we had two authors come to the library and teach us all about publishing.   Homework:  - wear something to move in  - gym  Have a wonderful evening! 

 We spent some time practicing our dances today.  We decided to have extra time and will perform on Monday.  Most the groups were able to present their groups for their Canadian Regions research. Homework:  - all library books are now overdue, please return ASAP  - missing work Have a good weekend! 

This morning we started working on Google Slides on our year end Core Competency Reflection.  We REALLY enjoyed the ice cream this afternoon.  Yummy!  The students worked on their dances in their groups this afternoon. Homework:  - home reading  - homework (emails will be coming home if your child owes me work) Have a good night! 

Today we had literacy rotations, please ask your child about what they learned about in their groups today.  In gym they played belly ball.  We have started working on dance choreography today.  They have gotten themselves in small groups and will present to each other on Friday afternoon (students only). Homework: - home reading  - return library books  - any missing work (simple machine package, probability package, graphing package, novel weeks 1-4, playground story) Have a good night! 

We were invited to go and watch the band concert this morning.  They did a great job and there was a lot of toe tapping in our classroom.  We took a little time this morning to reflect on our final term at school and think about our learning. Homework tonight:  - library books back ASAP  - gym tomorrow  - missing work (playground story, math packages on probability and graphing, novel reflections up to number four) the year is almost over and I have a few missing assignments out there still! Have a good night! 

Today instead of a Big 5 the students had to complete a probability activity.  We created groups today that will be looking at the different regions of Canada.  Each group will specialize in one of the regions and create a slide deck and presentation to share that learning with the class. Homework this weekend:  - home reading  - Lit. Circle 1-3 are now overdue  - probability package if not complete  - playground writing if not complete  - save recycled materials for a Maker Day next Friday Have a wonderful weekend.
