Today we started learning about salmon in preparation for our field trip coming up.  We went outside after lunch and did Brain Dance this afternoon. Homework:  - gym tomorrow  - first Roots of Empathy tomorrow (learning about the program)  - home reading Have a good night! 

Today we learned about the indigenous governments and how this has switched from a hereditary system to one of democratic voting.  The grade fours continued to work on their FSA writing today.  The grade 5/6 students did an Estimation Clipboard activity today and had to use math reasoning to estimate the amount of apples in a vase. Homework:  - home reading  - library tomorrow  - Salmon Run permission slip if not returned Have a good evening. 

Today the student's graphed their fast facts results for the past three weeks.  It was nice to see some big jumps in their graph!  We started working on our class beliefs this afternoon.  The grade fours also started their FSAs today. Homework:  - home reading  - library books due tomorrow  - some children are falling behind and homework will be coming home for work that is incomplete Have a good night! 

We helped our buddies with some cutting for their art cards today.  We had our final rotation set this morning. Coming home today is an important information letter about the Roots of Empathy program that we will be participating in this year. Homework:  - home reading Have a wonderful weekend. 

Today the students completed a Non Fiction Reading Assessment (NFRA).  It was picture day today and they all looked lovely. Homework:  - home reading Have a wonderful evening! 

We did our art cards today.  We had a beautiful gathering as a school this morning to acknowledge National Truth and Reconciliation Day.  A reminder that there is no school tomorrow to acknowledge this day. Homework:  - home reading  - photo day Thursday  - no school tomorrow Have a good night.
