Mrs. Elliott's Montessori Classroom

Today the children all wrote a journal entry to me to tell me something that they think I need to know.  This afternoon we did a teamwork activity.  The students had to create a cup stack lifting them with only a rubber band and string. Homework this weekend:  - completed forms  - parents check your email to look for an email from Mrs. Elliott Have a wonderful weekend! 

 Today we did a division review.  We also reviewed how to use a multiplication chart.  We also received our new agendas and worked on an activity to show all the ways that we can use our agenda. Homework:  - Verification Form  - Form Package  Have a wonderful evening. 

We met with our little buddies for the last time today.  We had a treat and did some pop rockets.  We did an esti-mystery today.  I was impressed with how many children guessed the right answer or close to the right answer right away.  Their estimation skills are improving! Please make sure to bring an extra bag (or two!) tomorrow.  We will be bringing home books tomorrow. 

 We did a Which One Doesn't Belong for Math Monday today.  We also started working on Memory Books this afternoon. Please make sure to send your child with an extra bag on Wednesday to bring their books home with them. Have a wonderful night. 

Today we had some outside time with our friends in another class.  Due to the warm weather this afternoon, we did this in the morning.  This afternoon after a work block, we also had some board game time.  We also wrote our final thoughts about The Fabulous Zed Watson! Have a wonderful weekend! 

We had a presentation from a Brazilian dance group today in the gym.  We also finished up our region presentations today. Please make sure that your child has given you their tie dye today.  When rinsing please rinse in cold water. Homework:  - home reading  - dress for the weather (outside for the afternoon tomorrow)  Have a good evening!
