Monday April 20th

I was so glad to be back in the classroom today. The children will be having a quiz on the digestion system on Friday.  They should all be bringing home their packages to study this week. Today I had the students write me a journal entry about our class trips to the food bank and the CFC.  I look forward to reading all about them, as I was so sad to have missed them. Fun Fair is Thursday evening. PJ day is Friday. Homework tonight:  - home reading   - library books due tomorrow   - gym tomorrow  - math fraction packages (4-5 pages should be completed)  - Changemaker reflection (this is two weeks overdue)  - poetry good copy Have a good night!

Wednesday April 1

We had a fun morning full of April Fool's Day silliness.  This afternoon we worked on Typing Pal.  The children played Doughnut Ball in Gym.   Please return permission slips ASAP for our upcoming field trips. Tuesday March 31

In gym this morning the students played handball.  We had a large work block day today.  During this time the children worked on learning about the Digestive System. A permission slip is coming home today.  We were offered a very quick turnaround opportunity to volunteer at the Mount Paul Community Food Centre.   Homework:  - library tomorrow  - gym tomorrow  - please wear white on Tuesday Have a wonderful evening!

Monday March 30

Welcome back!   I hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break.  We had a little outside brain break with another class this morning to give some movement to our learning.  Coming back can be difficult!  We are starting another body system this week and started making a title page for our Digestive System work. March 13

We ended the day with lots of laughs and giggle.  Once students had finished their work they were allowed to celebrate with some well earned choice time.  This included what turned into a large game of Apples to Apples. For those students who were away, please ask them to share their finished typed letter to their cause with me once they are done.  We will look at these together when we get back. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Spring Break full of many laughs and wonderful memories made.  See you in two weeks!

Thursday March 12

This afternoon we had little buddies and we helped them make leprechaun traps.  In health they did an activity with reptiles and amphibians.  Tomorrow we will be trying to get our letters typed out before the break.  Please make sure your child has started and RETURNED their notes and rough copies. Goals are also being brought home today.  Homework:  - home reading  - permission slip  -  any unfinished work before the break Have a good night.

Wednesday March 11

Today we worked on planning our letter on our cause.  Many of the children have started their rough copy.  The goal for tomorrow is that our rough copy is done so we can work with a friend and do some peer editing.  If your child does not have their plan complete, it is homework.  In gym today the students played Donut. Homework tonight:  - home reading  -  letter planning and rough copy   - unfinished work Have a good night!
