Thursday February 20th

Today we had a lot of instances of silly behaviours in the classroom.  Can you please review with your child the expected eating behaviours in our classroom.  Today we learned about Lapbooks.  The students will each be creating a lapbook to accompany the novel they just finished reading.  In health today the students talked about healthy and unhealthy relationships.  

Homework tonight:

 - home reading

 - Lit Circles if not completed, these are now overdue

 - Dress Fancy Friday tomorrow (Spirit Day)

 - Maker Day Monday, save your recycling to create your recycled instrument

 Today we voted on ideas to make our school better while learning about elections.  Congratulations to the Popcorn Party for winning the vote.  They ran on a campaign designed to include student input in learning. Thursday January 16th

This afternoon we talked about our Heritage Stamps.  We will be working on these more in the following week.  We will also be starting a novel study next week.  Today we looked and voted on the possible novels we will be reading. Homework tonight:  - home reading  - word study dictation tomorrow  - bring outside clothes for Physical literacy tomorrow afternoon Have a great evening!

April 19 - Welcome!

Welcome to our new classroom blog!  As the next few months are going to get busy, I thought that this would be a place that we can update daily in class while we are writing in our agendas.  This way if an agenda has been forgotten, the information can be found here. Thank you to all those who were able to make it to our classroom open house.  The students loved being able to share their learning with you.  To those who were unable to make it today, your child should be bringing home a folder.  Please record your reflections and send this back with your child on Tuesday.
