Tuesday April 29

Yesterday I had a wonderful day of sharing and learning with a couple of other upper elementary Montessori teachers from Prince George and Vernon.  I cannot wait to share new ideas I have taken away with the students!

This morning the four and five students participated in track.  The year sixes were wonderful helpers to the teachers during these events.  In the afternoon we had a work block.  The year fours also learned about the independent language lab!

Homework:

 - home reading (read aloud to practice fluency and expression)

 - year six track meet tomorrow (dress for the weather - water bottle, hat, sunscreen, layers), year fives as well as they will be helpers.

Have a great night!

September 4 - Welcome Back!

Today we reviewed our RoaRS expectations and made flowers to contribute to our school mural.  Some of the grade fours started doing bead chains.  We also did a Get to Know You Bingo to make connections with our classmates.  Agendas will be coming home soon!

We did our fast fact practice again today.  I was VERY pleased to see an improvement in almost everyone from last week!  This afternoon we continued working on our vanishing point art.  Due to the many absences in the classroom today we decided to wait until Monday to do our Word Study Dictation. Homework:  - home reading  - word study if not complete  - core competencies if not complete Have a wonderful weekend!  Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!

Thursday June 26th

Well, unfortunately I was home sick today and did not get to have the goodbye I would have liked with the students today.  I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer.  I look forward to seeing all of the children in September!
