Monday January 26th

Today we started talking about the early explorers in Canada and the reasons for exploration.  Heritage Stamps were due today.  If these have not been handed in, they are homework.

It is literacy week this week.  Please be aware of the following upcoming days!

Tuesday Jan 27: Poem in My Pocket Day - bring a poem in your pocket to share with others 
throughout the day
Wednesday Jan. 28: Reading Rocks, Wear Your Funky Socks
Thursday Jan. 29: Share a Laugh Day - bring a school appropriate joke to share with your 
classmates and staff throughout the day
 Friday Jan. 30: Dress as Your Favourite Book Character Day

Homework tonight:
 - home reading
 - library books due tomorrow
 - gym tomorrow

September 4 - Welcome Back!

Today we reviewed our RoaRS expectations and made flowers to contribute to our school mural.  Some of the grade fours started doing bead chains.  We also did a Get to Know You Bingo to make connections with our classmates.  Agendas will be coming home soon!

Monday November 4th

Today we went to the library and continued to challenge ourselves with programing the Edisons.  The students had to build a pencil holder and then create a program to draw a circle.  We have started a review of patterning as well in Math. Homework:  - home reading  - word study  - unfinished work   - library tomorrow  - gym tomorrow  - art card order due  Have a great night!

Thursday October 31

 Today we had a STEM challenge where the students were challenged to build a launcher for a bouncy ball.  Tomorrow we will go outside and test our builds.  We will be outside for a portion of the day tomorrow to complete a couple of activities (as long as it is not raining) so please make sure that you are dressed for the weather.  In the afternoon the students enjoyed a variety of Halloween activities.   Homework tonight:  - Have a safe and happy Halloween!  - Field Trip Permission Form
