Monday December 9th

 We did a math problem today as a group.  It is interesting to see the different ways we can all answer the same question.  We did concert practice again today.  We cannot wait to share with you on Wednesday and Thursday.

Homework tonight:

 - home reading

 - library books

 - gym

 - clothing for concert is dark pants and a white, green or red top

 - 12 Days of Giving is crackers, cereal and grains

We did our fast fact practice again today.  I was VERY pleased to see an improvement in almost everyone from last week!  This afternoon we continued working on our vanishing point art.  Due to the many absences in the classroom today we decided to wait until Monday to do our Word Study Dictation. Monday May 26th

This afternoon we started a study of biomes.  We will be doing research in books to find out more about six different biomes on the earth.  We also received our final word study package for the year.  June gets very busy and we will be reviewing the words we have been working with all year.  Many children have not been changing their shoes.  Even though the weather is nicer, this is causing dirt to be brought into the classroom.  The children need to be changing shoes when coming into the classroom please. Thursday January 16th

This afternoon we talked about our Heritage Stamps.  We will be working on these more in the following week.  We will also be starting a novel study next week.  Today we looked and voted on the possible novels we will be reading.
