Yesterday I had a wonderful day of sharing and learning with a couple of other upper elementary Montessori teachers from Prince George and Vernon.  I cannot wait to share new ideas I have taken away with the students! Homework:  - home reading (read aloud to practice fluency and expression)  - year six track meet tomorrow (dress for the weather - water bottle, hat, sunscreen, layers), year fives as well as they will be helpers. Have a great night!

On Tuesday we have the grade 4/5 track meet.  The grade 6s will be helpers.  The grade 6/7 track meet will be Wednesday. All students need to make sure that they have running shoes and are dressed for the weather (layers, hats, sunscreen).  Please make sure your child has a labelled water bottle.

The fives and sixes did a review of the French story that we have been learning all year.  Tomorrow they will have a chance to retell the story to me.  Today in health class the students learned about substance use.   Tonight is the school Fun Fair!  There is no homework tonight as I hope the children will all have fun at the Fun Fair!

Wednesday April 16th

We spent an amazing day in the gym today celebrating the wonderful learning that has taken place during our heritage study!  In the excitement of celebrating with our families, some of the students did forget to bring their parents back to the classroom for their student led conference.  For those that forgot or for parents that were unable to make it today, these will come home with your children today or tomorrow. The only homework reminders tonight are that tomorrow is the final day to bring in items for the BBQ basket.  Also, we will be outside for much of the day tomorrow, so please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. Have a great evening!
