Monday Sept. 8

We started our new novel, Fatty Legs today.  The students had to summarize the first part that we read in their own words.  We did our first Math Monday of the year today.  Please ask your child to tell you about it.  We have also started our Word Study for the year.  We are starting the year with review words.  

Homework tonight:

 - home reading

 - word study 

 - gym tomorrow morning

Friday May 9th

We did our fast fact practice again today.  I was VERY pleased to see an improvement in almost everyone from last week!  This afternoon we continued working on our vanishing point art.  Due to the many absences in the classroom today we decided to wait until Monday to do our Word Study Dictation. Thursday June 26th

Well, unfortunately I was home sick today and did not get to have the goodbye I would have liked with the students today.  I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer.  I look forward to seeing all of the children in September!

April 19 - Welcome!

Welcome to our new classroom blog!  As the next few months are going to get busy, I thought that this would be a place that we can update daily in class while we are writing in our agendas.  This way if an agenda has been forgotten, the information can be found here. Thank you to all those who were able to make it to our classroom open house.  The students loved being able to share their learning with you.  To those who were unable to make it today, your child should be bringing home a folder.  Please record your reflections and send this back with your child on Tuesday.
