Monday May 11

This afternoon we started our Literacy Circles with our new novels.  We have eight different novels being read in our classroom right now.  Ask your child which novel they are reading.  

Tomorrow from 2-3pm we will be hosting student led conferences in our classroom.  You do not need to stay for the full hour, but that this the time the classroom will be open for coming in.  If you are not able to attend, please let your child know and they will bring some work home to share their learning with you.

Homework:

 - unfinished work

 - home reading

  - open house from 2-3pm

Today we reviewed our RoaRS expectations and made flowers to contribute to our school mural.  Some of the grade fours started doing bead chains.  We also did a Get to Know You Bingo to make connections with our classmates.  Agendas will be coming home soon!

Monday November 4th

Today we went to the library and continued to challenge ourselves with programing the Edisons.  The students had to build a pencil holder and then create a program to draw a circle.  We have started a review of patterning as well in Math. Homework:  - home reading  - word study  - unfinished work   - library tomorrow  - gym tomorrow  - art card order due  Have a great night!

Thursday October 31

 Today we had a STEM challenge where the students were challenged to build a launcher for a bouncy ball.  Tomorrow we will go outside and test our builds.  We will be outside for a portion of the day tomorrow to complete a couple of activities (as long as it is not raining) so please make sure that you are dressed for the weather.  In the afternoon the students enjoyed a variety of Halloween activities.   Homework tonight:  - Have a safe and happy Halloween!  - Field Trip Permission Form
